Inclusivity
Inclusivity is defined as not excluding any section of society or any party involved in something whilst including all the services or items normally expected or required.
Inclusive software must consider the end users who will likely purchase and use the product. These differences must be studied and software developers must ensure that these needs are met. When developing inclusive software developers require great attention to detail, creativity, design and problem solving skills. Whether it be additional languages to allow a more diverse culture of users, cost of the product to allow all people access to the software, quality of the software and how well it meets the needs of the client and a perspective on gender all contribute to the inclusivity of a product. Including all, some, none or even more of these criteria will allow a product to accept a larger variety of people and contribute to the success of a product. How well these companies manage to integrate these ideas into their product will influence its success on the market. A programs ability to work with a wide variety of people will help in its overall success as it targets a wider audience. |

Inclusivity Case Study
This article questions the reasons why developers choose to lock out certain places from using a copy of a game. It's origins come from the different types of technology around the world, such as PAL (Phase Alternating Line) which is used here in Australia and most of Europe, all this does is cause the product to run at 25 FPS (576 visible lines). On the other hand, North Korea, America and Japan use NTSC (National Television System Committee) which runs at 29.97 FPS (483 visible lines). What this meant was that when companies released a console in different regions they would have to conform to that particular technology. Although, this has become obsolete as there are now ways around this thus making region-locking irrelevant. Although, it is continued today and even though its purpose today is to control their product there are much more user-friendly ways to achieve this without preventing certain places and people access to a program.
